Meet Kyle, our lead brewer!
1) What's your favorite brewery, aside from SLBC?
It’s too hard to choose a favorite brewery as there are so many amazing ones out there, so five great breweries that I love and respect besides SLBC are Odell’s, Urban Roots, Founders, North Coast, and Pizza Port.
2) What interested you in craft beer?
I fell in love with beer when I was working at Humble Sea Brewery as a chef. Learning about the process of making beer, how food relates to beer, and being surrounded by all the fun beer culture was something I had never experienced before.
3) What is your favorite SLBC beer?
My favorite SLBC beer is Tahoe Tessie, especially when it’s barrel-aged it’s delicious!
4) When did you move to Tahoe?
My wife, dog, and I moved to Tahoe four years ago.
5) What is your favorite trail in the Lake Tahoe basin?
My favorite trails in the Tahoe basin are Powerlines and Cold Creek.
6) What's an extreme sport you like watching or participating in?
I love watching and doing jiu jitsu.
7) How do you typically take advantage of a nice day in Tahoe?
My perfect day in Tahoe is a nice hike with my wife and dog on a beautiful summer day with some ice cold brewskis.
8) What do you like best about working at South Lake Brewing Company?
I love working at South Lake Brewing because I have awesome coworkers and we get to make and drink amazing tasty beers for a living.
