OKTOBERFEST: BIER, GAMES, MUSIC, & FOOD

Oktoberfest season is here!

We’re bringing a taste of Oktoberfest to Tahoe with traditional German beers, food, and festivities on Saturday, September 28th.

The Bier

Festbier German Pale Lager - 5.0% ABV

German Pilsner and Vienna malts plus German hops give our Festbier a delicious balance of bready malt flavors and a clean hop bite.

Märzen German Amber Lager - 6.2% ABV

Brewed with Weyermann Munich malts, this bier has rich malt and toasted bread notes and finishes crisp.

Try Festbier on tap now and Märzen on tap this weekend at both locations! Plus look out for cans of both beers on Saturday.

The Food

Sample a variety of German dishes with our Oktoberfest specials at The Libation Lodge Friday, September 27th through Friday, October 6th.

Head Chef Kestrel Aguilar developed the menu and wanted to feature dishes that represent German culture while incorporating beer as an ingredient.

“Traditional German dishes represent simplicity and comfort. We wanted to keep that comfy feeling with a few new items added to the menu this year including a stew and tarte,” Kestrel said.

Pork Schnitzel & Mash

Panko-crusted 6 oz. pork loin served on a bed of red potato mash covered in house-made jaeger sauce and lemon with a side of green beans

Currywurst & Fries

Bratwurst braised in our Festbier Lager, grilled and sliced on top of a bed of hand-cut fries. Drizzled in curry ketchup.

Eintopf Stew

Cozy one-pot stew with beer braised bratwurst, potatoes, carrots, onions, green beans, lentils, and beef broth. Served with a side of rye bread.

It’s All About the Beet Salad

Mixed greens tossed in our red wine Marlette Sunrise vinaigrette topped with red and gold beets, grapefruit and orange slices, chili lime pistachios, goat cheese, slivered red onions, and fennel.

Big Pretzel & Beer Cheese

Freshly baked soft pretzel from Truckee Sourdough Company with 3 dipping sauces: jalapeño cheese sauce, honey mustard, and house-made beer cheese featuring one of our flagship beers.

Flammkuchen Tarte

Shareable puff pastry topped with smoked pancetta, caramelized red onions, and gruyere cheese. Drizzled with creme fraiche.
